Navarro W. Gray, Attorney at Law is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law located in Long Island, New York where he received his Juris Doctorate degree with a concentration in intellectual property. While attending Hofstra, he held the position of President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and was the recipient of the Public Justice Foundation Award.

Navarro has both litigation and transactional law experience. As a litigator he has advocated on behalf of numerous clients in family/divorce, criminal (Federal/State/Municipal), contractual, workers compensation, personal injury and discrimination cases.

Additionally, he has drafted recording, producer, joint venture, publishing, licensing, confidentiality and online/new media agreements. Previously, Navarro worked with Big Boi of the Outkast, T.I. and renown producer Ty Fyffe. He also has negotiated contracts with LL Cool J, Bad Boy Entertainment, MTV, Vh1, F.U.E.N.T.S, Ru1 Records, universal music group and creates licensing opportunities for producers to have their music appear in television programs, video games, and films.

Navarro is no stranger to the New York City/New Jersey communities. He has spoken about his experience on panels for the National Black Child Development Institute and at Bergen Community College. In 2008, Navarro’s achievements were recognized alongside Kevin Liles, David Mays, and Jon Shecter in Linda C. Tillman’s The Sage Handbook of African American Education. Navarro is a member of the NY Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association, the Black Entertainment and Sports Law Association, Garden State Bar Association, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., the Grammy Association, Golden Key Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, and the Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society.

Navarro is dedicated to providing clients with a personal and efficient approach to solving their legal problems. He has a knack for identifying issues, analyzing the approaches to solving them, and aggressively executing a plan of attack.

Navarro graduated from Hampton University cum laude with honors with a B.S. in Marketing. He also received the Honors Counsel Award for Outstanding Achievements in Marketing. While at Hampton, Navarro was the CMR for Bad Boy Records for the entire Tide Water Virginia area. As the CMR he was responsible for promoting and directing the marketing activities for artists such as MA$E and the Notorious BIG. Upon graduation, Navarro went to work for Johnson and Johnson and was one was of the first undergraduates employed under their newly implemented Marketing Leadership Development Program (MLDP).

Navarro has gained various life experiences working for the following employers: United States Federal District Court Judge, United States Attorney’s Office, New Jersey Superior Court Judge, Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, MTV Networks, Virgin Records/Purple Ribbon Entertainment, Arista Records/Bad Boy Entertainment, Foundation Unit Entertainment Services (multimedia company), Johnson and Johnson, and Ru1 Records. He has also worked with various producers, recording artists, models, and film directors.

At present Navarro is employed at the law firm of Hunt, Hamlin and Ridley where in addition to the practice areas set forth above, he represents various governmental/municpal agencies in civil litigation, Educational Law and Title 59 work. In this capacity he represents these entities in complex civil litigation in Federal and State courts, and the Office of Administrative Law and Public Employer Relations Commission Hearings. These entities include, but are not limited to the following: Irvington Board of Education; Pleasantville Board of Education; City of Paterson, and Irvington Housing Authority.
