Dennis T. Hickerson-Breedon is a native of Hackensack, New Jersey. Upon his graduation from Hackensack High School in 2007, Dennis attended Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina where he majored in Political Science. While there, Dennis became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and also served as a student leader in the capacities of Student Government Association 2nd Vice President and Student Representative to the Benedict College Board of Trustees.
After graduating from Benedict College in 2011, Dennis commenced his studies at Hamline University School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Upon his graduation from Hamline in 2014, Dennis returned to New Jersey and began his legal career at the Law Offices of Montell Figgins. Dennis left the firm in 2016 to serve as the Legislative Director to 35th District New Jersey Assemblyman Benjie E. Wimberly. Thereafter, in 2017, Dennis became the Chief of Staff for the City of Newark Law Department.
In that same year, he passed the New York State bar examination. Dennis has been an Associate of Hunt, Hamlin & Ridley since March of 2018, and was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in May of 2018. Since that time, Dennis has been involved in extensive civil and criminal cases and has also represented clients in the entertainment industry.
